Painted in Los Angeles, October, 2006. Acrylic on canvas. 18" x 18"
The thoughts that I had while painting this were of the tiny worlds that live beyond our sight. The tiny microscopic world were creatures exist so alien to us that they seem to be fictional. The worlds of the 'MICROBIA'. My mind often drifts off and I wonder about tiny worlds that theoretically may exist deep in the sub-atomic materials that make up the worlds of the ameba. Might there not exists creatures so small that we have not yet discovered them? And if that's possible, could there even be intelligence of some sort? I could speak more to these ideas, but I'll let the painting speak for me. . 2/20/2008: added the availability of a print here at DA I am offering fine prints in many sizes and prices of this painting here on DA. I also offer my own canvas Giclee's stretched & mounted & hand painted on my site, RSConnett.com: [link] Additionally, you will find this, and more prints and originals in my eBay store: [link] |

I gotta admit, this is one of the more well rendered pieces you got. I could compare it to "Heroin" ( that one was one of my favorites... the painting not the black shit
You're bad ass man. You got your style, you stick with it. The focus levels you reach, I can see in the intensity of your work, must make you feel so high! I hope to meet you one day, so dont go crazy too fast on me... lol

one of my favourites of yours for sure.
ive thought of such things before too, but mainly the theory that we and our universe are simply grime under a giant's fingernail.
great work!
I actually thought I was that small once, but I'm not; don't worry.

I've been doing a lot of abstract painting lately. Extremely abstract. No brush, no paint, no canvas. I just think about it.
